The Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women invites all PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS graduates to apply to win an educational trip to the United States for the 2011 program, July 8 - 28, 2011.

Qualifications to apply:

  • PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS Leadership Development graduate

2007 & 2008 Students

  1. 250+ word essay on your company and its growth since graduation from the PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS Program
  2. Graph or chart showing increase/decrease in sales, employees, products, etc. (Please note a decrease in sales, employees, etc. will not affect your chances of winning.)
  3. 250+ word essay on how you have paid forward your education since graduation

2009 & 2010 Students

  1. All Quarterly Reports since graduation from the PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS Program
  2. 250+ word essay on your company and its growth since graduation from the PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS Program
  3. 250+ word essay on how you have paid forward your education since graduation

**All information will be verified by In-Country Facilitator**

One woman from each country will be selected. The selected students will assist IEEW staff as needed and share their experiences with the 2011 students.

Applicants who meet all the above qualifications will be submitted to a committee designated to choosing the winner of this contest. IEEW staff does not make this decision.

The winning submissions will be based on completed application, commitment to the program, completed forms and essays.

Deadline to submit is March 1, 2011 and the winners will be notified by March 31, 2011.

The winning applicants will receive:

  • Round-trip airfare from Rwanda/Afghanistan to the United States
  • Lodging with the 2011 PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS class
  • Meals with the 2011 PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS class
