OETA Airs Story About IEEW Project
May 6th, 2011 Posted by adminOETA aired a story about the Institute’s I Educate and Empower Women project. Two functions of the IEEW project are designed to teach and engage Oklahoma City women business owners (WBO) and entrepreneurial high school students in public policy, as well as mentorship with Oklahoma state legislators.
The story airs Sunday, May 8th, at 3pm on OETA.

Project Overview:
•“Take Your Constituent to Work Day”-Match each WBO/student pair with a state legislator and shadow her at the state Capitol for a day.
•“Take Your Legislator to Work Day”-Legislator and student visit WBO’s company, with introduction to staff and community, key issues highlighted.
* Students are selected from the Advanced Science and Technology Education Charter (ASTEC) High School
