EY Brings Skills-Based Contributions to IEEW

EY is creating ripples of impact around the world. One way that they are doing this is by eMentoring PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® women entrepreneurs as they develop their business plans during their 10 weeks of in-country classes. In 2019, EY broadcasted this mentorship opportunity to its employees all around the globe through its corporate responsibility platform, EY Ripples, and IEEW received 5 new eMentors from India and South Africa.

One mentor from EY India, Aditya Sheth, mentored Ferozah Kakar, a 26-year-old small business owner and mother with her own construction company. Aditya recently shared about her experience: “Talking to Ferozah about her business, her life and her motivations reaffirmed my belief that economic activity can be a means for social upliftment and development, something often lost in today’s society.”

EY Ripples is centering on the following three focus areas: Next generation workforce, impact entrepreneurs, and environmental sustainability. IEEW fits right in and we are so fortunate to be included in this platform so that our mission continues to empower on a global scale.
