Bio Information

After receiving her high school diploma, Wazhma went through a one year teachers’ professional training. Recognizing the need for Afghan women to be literate, she worked as a master trainer for Afghan Women Education Centers for 2 years. During this time, she provided literacy training to more than 100 Afghan women.

Wazhma is a self-taught baker with a goal of not allowing homemade recipes to be forgotten. She prides herself in hiring women so they can bring income to their households. In an environment where it is difficult for a woman to run a business, she has taken the stand to establish her business with an eye toward expansion.
