What are the PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® / Northwood University Pathways mini-courses?
  • PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® conducts intensive 5-day mini-courses covering the basic business principles to build a business plan in the more rural provinces of Afghanistan. These courses are certified through Northwood University, our educational partner in the USA. Students have the opportunity to complete business plans with the help of mentors and eMentors by March in order to receive full accreditation. Upon completion, students become a member of the PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® Network, the alumnae association in Afghanistan.

How can you bring the PTB / NU Pathways Course to your community?

PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® Graduates are more likely to still be in business and earning more profits than women business owners that have not taken the program. We believe this progress is because of our holistic mission to educate women economically, socially and politically. Furthermore, the mentorship portion of the program often lends the entrepreneur that extra ear and extra guidance necessary when taking on any new endeavor.

If your community is interested in providing the necessary tools to women entrepreneurs in order to build stronger bridges toward a more peaceful and sustainable future, talk to your local government officials and business community, get them involved, and recruit fellow women entrepreneurs to take the next step.

Supporters, if you would like to see the PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® program continue to grow and reach more women, help us out by donating today. Though IEEW operates on a minimal, tight budget, the program is nonetheless time consuming and detailed. It takes all of us! We appreciate your support. Reach out to us at info@ieew.org.
