This is the time of year we all give thanks. At IEEW, we are thankful all year for the many sponsors, mentors, volunteers, friends, and family who support our program. We depend solely on this corporate and private support to fund our PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® program.
This year IEEW is partnered with Network for Good for #GivingTuesday. When you donate to IEEW on Tuesday, December 2, your donation to our organization will be matched by Network for Good.
Every year from January to March, we educate 30 women entrepreneurs in Rwanda and Afghanistan, respectively. The 10-week business course includes, Finance, Accounting, and Marketing. Each woman must present a business plan in order to graduate. Fifteen of the top graduates are then selected to come to the U.S. for further Leadership Development in July. When the women return home, they are tasked with paying forward their knowledge by recruiting, mentoring and networking with other women business entrepreneurs.
IEEW is in its 9th year of our PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS PROGRAM® and we have graduated over 400 women entrepreneurs. Eighty percent of these women are still in business providing jobs and economic stability for their families and their countries.
Our mission is to educate and empower women around the world economically, socially and politically. The more economically stable nations are, the less likely they are to go to war against each other and, this benefits us all.
No amount is too small. Your donation will provide everything from textbooks and curriculum to professors and transportation. But more than that, you are providing the foundation for the economic stability that creates peace in the world.
